Derek Sakakura has been a professional dancer for over a decade, performing with a variety of companies across the country, including the Joffrey Ballet of Chicago, San Francisco Opera Ballet, Ballet Met of Columbus, and Ballet Austin. He has also performed in several musical theater productions, including the Broadway national tour of “The King and I”, starring Haley Mills, and recently played Bernardo in Woodminster Theater’s production of “West Side Story.” Derek is currently dancing the role of Taro in Maui’s spectacular show, “Ulalena.” |
