Jennifer Loftus

Jennifer Loftus has been moving with Nia since the early '90s, dancing with the inspiring Winalee Zeeb, First Generation Nia Trainer. A Certified Nia Brown Belt instructor, she is grateful to share the joy of this practice in Maui at Island Spirit Yoga studio. Prior to living in Maui, she spent sixteen years in Chicago as a professional actor, singer and vocal coach. She also offers private voice lessons for "Finding and Freeing Your Voice" when not teaching Nia and teaches "Ageless Grace" classes and voice workshops at the Kaunoa West Maui Senior Center in Lahaina. She has her First and Second Degree Reiki certifications and incorporates this in all of her work. She brings a compassionate heart to her classes, holding space for authenticity, truth, inner wisdom, playfulness, creativity, fun..and healing.

Class description:
Nia is a sensory-based movement practice that draws from martial arts, dance arts and healing arts. Classes blend music, vocal sounding and self-expression into dynamic movement routines, ending in meditation. With a philosophy based on "The Joy of Movement," every experience can be adapted to individual needs and abilities, connecting body, mind, emotions and spirit.
